Learn about local urban issues and public policies affecting the poor during this immersion program in downtown Portland during winter break (usually Wednesday through Saturday before classes resume in January). Visit numerous social service agencies, serve with local non-profits, stay at the Downtown Chapel, reflect on and discuss the challenges facing people in our city.  One Sociology credit can be earned.
