Fall Break 2013
Come join us on a great alternative Fall Break program in and around the Portland are as we discover and learn about the food in our area and how what you eat affects your society! We will spend time at local farms learning about harvesting and where the food is taken to! We will also spend time in Portland understanding where our food comes from and the accessibility of healthy food in our area! Read more

Fall Break 2013
Explore issues of agribusiness and migrant farm life in the U.S. in Washington’s Yakima Valley during fall break. Visit social service agencies and participate in service projects. Read more
Urban Policy
Winter Break 2014
Learn about local urban issues and public policies affecting the poor during this immersion program in downtown Portland during the last week of winter break. Read more
Border
Spring Break 2014
Travel to the US/Mexico Border on Spring Break to learn about immigration, the global economy, environmental and human rights issues. The trip may include service projects and home stays with working-class Mexican families. Read more
Collegiate Challenge
Spring Break 2014
Participate in this one-week Habitat for Humanity build with 14 other UP participants. The group will work on builds within the Pacific Northwest. During the 2014 Spring Break the Moreau Center will be offering 1 Collegiate Challenge trip. Read more
Hawaii

This new internship program is designed to give students a chance to explore Hawaiian culture and its people including Polynesian history and the social issues the islands face. Read more
Nicaragua
May 2014
Travel to Nicaragua immediately following Spring semester on a three week immersion experience. The trip may include homestays with campesinos, service in neighborhoods, and presentations by local experts on topics such as fair trade, foreign policy, human rights, and other social justice issues. East Africa Internship
June-August 2014
This new internship program is in collaboration with the Foundation for Sustainable Development. This is a 9 week program. Read more
Native Alaska

Travel to Alaska to learn about the historic and contemporary struggles of the Native American community. Read more
Civil Rights
May 2014
Visit major Civil Rights sites in Georgia, Alabama and Louisiana before traveling to New Orleans to participate in a Habitat for Humanity rebuilding project. Visit a racial reconciliation farm community, walk the trail of the bus boycott, and walk through Tuskegee University. Read more
